Japan Biogas Institute Co., Ltd. supports Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The power generation by our biogas plant is clean energy that "does not increase the amount of CO2 on the earth" by using biogas whose main raw material is food waste. By using the discarded food loss for biogas power generation, the amount of incineration can be reduced. As a result, we believe that it will not only protect the environment of the entire planet, but also of climate change, marine pollution, and soil pollution. We also donate to local social welfare corporations as part of local welfare activities. I would like to continue to work to contribute to the local community and society.
What are Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)?
It is an international goal from 2016 to 2030 set forth in the "2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development" adopted at the United Nations Summit in September 2015. Composed of 17 goals and 169 targets for a sustainable world, we pledge to leave no one behind. The SDGs are universal, not only in developing countries, but also in developed countries themselves, and Japan is also actively working on them.
